Friends
[/color] While Eriko is perfectly capable of making friends, she does not often do so. She has a number of acquaintances, individuals that she could consider temporary allies, and those that would fit the roles of tools or toys respectively, but she does not have many that she would honestly consider a friend or confidant. However, those select few that she does include in her small circle of friends have gained a powerful and destructive ally. I am open to some already being in her circle of friends- perhaps from school, or from early childhood- but these individuals will be few and far between.
Generally, for new individuals to enter her circle, they have to be persistent and come into contact with the girl somewhat often- then they have to not be in any way, shape, or form affiliated with those among her enemies. It could be said that paranoia drives potential friends away, but she considers it a filter that keeps the chaff from getting to her, allowing only quality individuals through. Not everyone is fit or capable of becoming her friend. Generally, those in the same school as her have more chances to befriend her.
Enemies
Plague members fall into this without further consideration. Eriko is steadfastly loyal to the head, revering him, and therefore considers anyone that would intend to harm him fit for death. The obvious aside, despite her sadism and her lack of hesitation to get things done when interrogating, only special individuals get her touch- typically those that have, in fact, done something fairly bad. That said, she's not overly fond of people that harm their fellow man without a just cause. I can imagine that anyone with the powers of either Personas or demons that abuse their gifts would likely fall into this category pretty easily. Shadows and demons themselves are not necessarily enemies to her. Rift Shadows (she's not specifically aware of the Embodiments) are those that were rejected and subsequently repaid their other half for that rejection- she cannot truly fault them for that. Demons in general are okay in her book- it's the ones that hunt and kill humans that she doesn't like.
To a lesser extent, there are also those that she can just dislike. While not registering as important enough to be an enemy in her book, others may hate her enough to consider her a bane to their existence. Given her apparent nonchalance at school, stepping out of class and taking naps under the pretenses of “illness”, it's very possible that either the staff, student council, class president, or her classmates in general may have problems with her. Include the fact that her explosive temper and her fairly good strength (thank Fenrir and general exercise for that!) come together for some nasty blows, and you have someone who could potentially put herself at odds with entire groups at a time.
I am perfectly fine with existing enemies/disliked people. Rivals may also fall under here- depends on their general attitude. Falling into the disliked category- or having an unrequited hatred for her- is pretty easy for high school-aged individuals. Bullies and the sort would probably hear from her on occasion if she catches them, so maybe delinquents could fall under this?
Family
The official records claim that Yuko and Eriko's siblings died in the fire of their home, caused by an arsonist that managed to get away. Takeru's official cause of death was from burns. By default, her immediate family is deceased. There are existing kin that are a bit further off, but Eriko neither knows nor cares about them overly much. On the other hand, though they lack the supposedly strong ties of blood, the young lady considers a great portion of the Dragons to be her family. Long-term members are those that she's been around the greater portion of her life, so, naturally, she'd consider them as close to family as they could possibly be.
Naturally, most of these are pre-existing relationships, and some can be one-sided or mutual. The head that adopted her is someone that she reveres and respects, but she also has affection towards him- viewing him as both a sort of fatherly and grandfather-ly figure. She typically calls him “Grandpapa” whenever the surroundings are relaxed. Generally, any of the other older members could be viewed, by her, as uncles or aunts, while most of the others are something similar to older siblings. In retrospect, I'd imagine that she'd be something of a target for affection for some, while some of the younger members consider her a sort of violent younger sister. I'm really open to interpretations, spins, and whatnot on all of this. I just want her role in the Dragons to be more than just ties based on debt of life.
Romance?!
Despite her paranoia, violent nature, and whatnot, Eriko is actually a huge romantic. Of course, there's a few twists about her sense of romanticism. Somebody trying to swoop her off her foot for no reason is more likely to receive a boot to the head than a kiss to the cheek. Cande-lit dinners and moonlit strolls do absolutely nothing for her. What sets her heart aflutter is the thought of being rescued by a knight when she needs it the most. Though she's not active sexually, she's had both male and female specimens in her interrogation chambers- from that, she knows that, basing things purely on aesthetics, she doesn't care if her knight would be man or woman.
So, while her falling in love is purely situational- or perhaps a result of a very long-term relationship- people falling for her is actually a-okay with me. While her personality in school could incite rage, she does stand up for those that are either too afraid or too weak to do so for themselves. Perhaps someone was saved by her in that way? There's plenty of ways for this to occur- and I'm not against someone in the Dragons crushing on her, either. She'd probably be too dense to realize it for a while, which means love-love shenanigans left and right. Totally all right with that.
Others
There's a number of relationships that may not fall into any of the above. Perhaps Eriko has some fairly regular customers for her information services? Mayhaps one had a rather large business proposition and requested a face-to-face meetup? Given the present, she'd be dubious, but it could be a customer regularly interested in information of the supernatural, or something. Put simply, she'd need a good reason to come out. Another thing would be business partners of the Dragons- given her role, she could be occasionally chosen as the one to go seal the deal. Perhaps purely business relationships? Back-scratchers?
Requests
While he is a special role, I would very much love it if whoever took the head of the Dragons implemented some of the things I'll list here- and some of it can be used to give whoever's interested in the role ideas. For starters, the head is charismatic. He's powerful enough that, despite his age, he could easily best most men in terms of brute strength. Despite his stoic appearance, he's got a heart of gold, and he values his promises- this evident by his taking in Eriko as his heir. On that note, he has no children. This is open to the creator in regards to how- maybe he's married, but his wife or he is sterile, maybe he never got married, whatever; creator's choice. He'd probably view Eriko as a child and/or grandchild, somewhat doting, but, at the same time, somewhat ashamed that he let her develop as she had. 'course, only bits of this are absolutely required, but I'd love it if whoever's taking the role up would incorporate some of this- or compromise, even.
