The Dragons

The oldest and most influential group of yakuza in the region. They owe some of this influence to ties with both government officials and law enforcement. While they lack numbers, they make up for quantity with quality. Overall, the group is a bit xenophobic, however. Only those that are Japanese or at least part-Japanese are ever allowed to join. They do not discriminate on gender, however. Old-fashioned, the group's methods of business have been clean in terms of substances. They do, however, offer muscle, experience, weapons, women, and more.

Members are fairly skilled in some way, shape, or form.
Access to firearms and low-grade explosives.
Large area of influence.
Access to both Persona-users and natural Devil Summoners.

Group's numbers of active muscle numbers just over one hundred.
No access to tech-based devil summoning.

The Dragons have a fairly basic color code for ranks. The Black Dragons, which sit at the top of the chain, are comprised of the head, his advisors and second-in-command, and the heir. White Dragons, which are directly below, consist of trained servants for the family- read, bodyguards/retainers. They take orders only from their charge or the head. Under the White are the Red Dragons, which are essentially group leaders or heads of businesses that are under the Dragons' flag. The lower grunts of the Dragons are simply referred to as Dragons- colors only being presented to them once they've proven themselves valuable.



Black Dragons

The Head – Open.
Requirements:
Name: Tokisaka -Given name open-
Age: 50-55
Gender: Male
Persona/Demon: Persona-user. The actual Persona is open, but it'd have high-level skills.
Personality: Mostly open. He should possess a sense of honor, and a kindness that is hidden behind a strong and cold face.
Relationships: Also fairly open. He has ties with Tokyo's chief superintendent. Currently single, with no blood-related children. The adoptive “Grandfather” of Tokisaka Eriko.
History: Began the Dragons sometime between age fifteen and twenty. Adopted Eriko after his pact-brother was slain by his wife twelve years prior to the present. Otherwise open.
Face-claim: Open, of course.

The Second-in-Command – Open
Requirements:
Age: 45-50 (younger than the head)
Gender: Open
Persona/Demon: Open. Can be a Persona-user or a Devil Summoner. If he's a Devil Summoner, he could be one of the first that came out with it in the Dragons.
Personality: Fairly open. A bit of a sadist and ruthless to enemies. Outwardly stoic, but easily excitable.
Relationships: As one of the first members, and second in command, he'd likely have strong ties with the head.
History: One of the first members of the Dragons. Probably had many shenanigans. Otherwise open.

White Dragons

Head's Personal Guard – Open
Age: 40's. Otherwise open.
Gender: Open.
Persona/Demon: Open. Likely just as skilled, if not more so, than the head.
Personality: Open, but steadfastly loyal to the head.
Relationships: Highly respects the head. Respected by the other White Dragons. Otherwise open.
History: First of the White Dragons. Has taken up the role as the head's guard and the personal instructor of any other White Dragons. Pulled into the Dragons sometime in his teens, likely out of a bad or dangerous environment. Otherwise open.

Red Dragons

Matron of the Prostitutes/Owner of the Crimson Thread - Open
Age: 40's
Gender: Female
Persona/Demon: Open.
Personality: Something of a mother figure to whoever strikes her as needing. Fairly understanding, though strict and playful. Otherwise open.
Relationships: Open.
History: Likely among the first members of the Dragons. Otherwise open.

Chief Superintendent (Because he'd fit nowhere else!)
Age: 50-55
Gender: Male
Persona/Demon: Open
Personality: Contrary to his ties with the head of the Dragons, he has a strong sense of justice. That said, he does not worry about legal justice, but justice based on morals. A bit of a jokester. Otherwise open.
Relationships: Friends with the head. May have been something of an uncle figure for Eriko, if the maker is interested.
History: Open.

The Plague

The biggest rival to the Dragons in recent times. After having been called a plague by the head of the Dragons, their leader adopted the slanderous title with pride. Their forces consist of both Japanese and foreigners. Where the Dragons have experience and better judgment, this group is composed of young and rash individuals, but where they lack experience, they compensate with both numbers and equipment. Supplied with experimental weapons by the Sennou Corporation, they boast both high-power weapons along with demon summoning technology. They deal in just about anything that they can sell- weapons, drugs, contract killing, and more.

+Pros

Large numbers- something in excess of three hundred.
Access to Persona-users, Devil Summoners, and tech-based summoning.
Access to standard firearms, low-to-mid-grade explosives, and experimental test weapons from the Sennou Corporation.

-Cons

Most of the members are young adults, ranging from fifteen to twenty-five, lacking experience.
Prototype Arm-Terminals not only restrict forceful demon-contracting to mid-level demons, but also disables contracts with unique demons.
Prototype Arm-Terminals roughly half the benefits of demon contracting for the summoner.
Fairly small area of influence.

The Plague lacks any form of centralized order outside of the leader, second-in-command, and recruiter. For the most part, members are either thrust into groups and directed by one of these three, or are directly assigned to some post by them.

Most of the details for the recruiter were open. Generally, he was a young male, in the late teens to very early twenties. A friend of the second in command. For an idea of what the first recruiter was, please ask staff, and we can give you tid-bits of the original profile for viewing.

These three roles aside, the Plague has no notable roles. It has plenty of openings for members and plenty of Persona-users and Devil Summoners- most Devil Summoners in this group would be using the arm-terminals.

The Sennou Corporation

On the outside, the Sennou Corporation appears to be a boon to society- often donating to charity drives and making advances in the realms of medicine and surgery since its founding in 2010. Off the records, however, they produce weapons for private militaries, police forces, and other contractors. Beneath even that, however, is their research in regards to demons and Shadows. Having picked up research performed by other groups in the past, they've revived a number of projects. While they're neutral in the power struggle between the Dragons and the Plague, they have their own motives, which have caused both demons and shadows to roam around Tokyo.

+Pros

Has a large pool of resources.
Possesses finalized Arm-Terminal technology, minimizing the drawbacks of forced contracting, and has battle suits to enhance the benefits.
Access to military-grade weaponry and experimental technology.
Experimental Persona-users can be slightly superior to standard users.

-Cons

Very few natural Devil Summoners.
Arm-Terminal, though allowing for higher-level demons to be forcibly contracted, still cannot contract unique demons and still reduces attribute bonuses to the summoner, though to a lesser degree.
Experimental Persona-users can lose control.
Combat groups are numbered at less than fifty.


!? Canon Roles

The Sennou Corporation is divided into two forms- the public face, that produces miracle treatment and medicine after another, and the other face, which produces a number of monstrosities and weapons. The other side is divided further, into two major divisions, each with their own sub-divisions. There are the labs and researches, then there is the police force and the specialized groups within. Generally, the research divisions make the calls, with the directors putting forth votes towards the division of budgets and the founder and largest stock-holder giving the approval or rejection of these proposals, typically through written letters or conference calls. Oddly, the founder never makes appearances.


Director of Medicine Research
Age: 30's or older.
Gender: Open
Persona/Demon: He could be either, but it's unlikely that he's deeply involved with the corporation's other side.
Personality: Acting as the face of corporation, this individual puts on a good show and acts like a true doctor should- sympathetic, caring, and human. In reality, he's a glutton for attention and gladly takes his role as the public speaker for the corporation, despite his only being a researcher. Everything else is open.
Relationships: Open. May have a friendship or rivalry with some of the other research directors?
History: Open.

Other directors include that of the Persona, Shadow, Demon, and Time research, as well as the director of the weapons R&D. These individuals may have friendships or rivalries with each other, and their ages can vary from early twenties to mid-forties. Other things are open to what the individual wishes them to have.

Special Operations Groups

Persona Counteraction Squad

A contingency squad built in the case of an attack on the corporation's building, or for neutralization of test subjects, this squad has a mixture of natural Persona-users and experimental users that have been verified as mentally and physically stable. Age, gender, and backgrounds vary. They live normal lives during the day, their assignments typically being given out during the night. They are armed with their weapon of choice, typically designed or enhanced by the Weapons R&D division, and have a small kit of sidearms or expendables. Their combat suits are experimental, but offer protection from the natural elements, while their helmets grant both night and thermal vision. This squad only has five active members, and they act out of a majority decision from the research division directors.

Demon Neutralization Unit

The mirror to the PCS, the Demon Neutralization Unit was constructed for the quick and quiet destruction of problematic demons drawn out by the odd natural summoner in the corporation, or for the large ones that go rabid in the city. Armed with the finalized Arm-Terminal, they are capable of contracting almost any non-unique demon, with the smallest penalty to the benefits yet. In addition, their combat suits are interfaces that interact with the arm terminal, acting to enhance the benefits of the contract- sometimes neutralizing the penalty, and then some- or to reverse any weaknesses they may have had- at the cost of any resitance or blocking they might have had. Their arms typically consist of a mixture of silent weapons, from suppressed firearms to melee weapons, due to their nature as a “cleaning” squad. They number at five, and their actions, like the PCS, are determined by the majority vote of the research division directors.

The Sennou also has a number of other Persona-users and tech-based summoners in their headquarters, but the majority of them are there for security purposes.

SEES

Named the “Supernatural Entity Extermination Squad” by their founder, this group arose out of the growing unease in Tokyo. Most of the members are either Persona-users or devil summoners that are aware of the situation in the city. While their motives and methods, as well as backgrounds and ages, vary, they all agree on the simple fact that both demons and Shadows need to be killed or banished where possible.

+Pros

Relatively unknown and unrecognized by the other groups, allowing them to move about more freely.
Most members are normal citizens, working-class individuals and students, which allow them to inconspicuous meetings out in the open.
Mixture of Persona-users and natural Devil Summoners.
Most members have some degree of experience with whichever power they have.

-Cons

Most would not have access to firearms or overly destructive weapons.
They lack Arm-Terminals.
Very small group, currently numbering at less than thirty.

Due to their size, there's really not too many roles that require filling. In fact, there's only two- but that does not make other members any less significant. These two roles are the Founder and the Acting Leader.

All right, we've cleaned out the reserves. Reservations are allowed. Given that someone asked for a role that was already reserved- and given that that role was fairly important- I decided to implement a system for special roles. When a reservation is placed on a special role- such as a leader of a faction- this would allow the member to make their character without worrying about somebody just jumping in and snatching it from them when they are juuuust about done.

Contesting, while preserving the reservation, allows someone else to aim to make that character. They cannot be accepted until the original reserver's claim is up, or until the original claim is finished. The only exception is if the original reserve is revoked, or if the reserver disappears completely for several days. Final decision on these will be decided by the staff. This is to ensure that someone does not simply make a character, then leave, and also to ensure that the highest quality is produced for these characters.

To make a reservation, please post which role you're aiming for. You will be added to the list. Those aiming to contest for a role can post the same thing, but they must be able to finish the character before the end of the reservation in order to be considered, if the reserver's character has been finished.





Currently considering: Lowering the reservation time from two weeks to one, depending on the circumstances. Have not decided. Current reservations are two weeks long, and may be changed at any given time.
