Amaranth
Amaranth is a demon that ventured into the human world about 25 years ago due to a botched demon summoning. Since then she has been absolutely in love with this world despite all the scary things that exist in it. As demons go, she's pretty harmless as she prefers to explore and learn rather than attack people. She's not particularly violent to begin with, but her curiosity in other places and the fact that the human world is safer than her old home has made her aggression levels even lower than usual. She does have a bit of an edge, but it's not in physical violence as she is not very strong. It's because she's very smart and charismatic. She would never attack someone directly as she is quite certain she would lose if she did, but attacking someone indirectly by manipulating them and those around them is quite easy for her to do.
Currently Amaranth is posing as the 16-year-old highschool student and genius hacker Reika Hanae. Her skills with the computer aren't bad, but they're not nearly as good as she makes them out to be, however computers are an excellent cover for how she actually finds people and things (though, she frequently tells people that her method is "magic" just because she thinks it's funny). She gets most of her money acting as an informant or retrieving lost or stolen items. She goes to school sometimes...when she feels like it. The fact that they actually expect you to go EVERY DAY is completely unreasonable in her mind, but she goes often enough that she can be considered a student.

Friends

Her love for people typically overrides this fear (unless the person is just scary) until "something" happens. It's unclear to her that that "something" is exactly, she just knows that it's something that makes her realize exactly how close she's getting to someone. She's normally friendly to everyone she comes across, so I picture her having lots of friends, just not very many CLOSE friends. |
| [cs=2]Ideas Friend: Ye old generic friend. I'd like her to have a lot of these regardless of their affiliation. A SEES friend or anyone that particularly disliked demons could be fun for the potential freak out from her later (or maybe both of them) if nothing else. Pre-existing relationships are fine, just talk to me about them first. Close friend: There won't be as many of these. I don't *think* I'll accept pre-existing relationships like this, but feel free to ask me anyway. I think RPing out them getting close just sounds like more fun. Enemy of her enemy: "Alliances" more or less. She'll help them if they help her. She has no real loyalty towards anyone right now, so I suspect she'd be willing to give up non-vital information if it meant being left alone. Be careful though, she may not always tell the truth. I think catching her in a lie could make for a really interesting plot. |

Holding grudges is way too much work you know? She can be pretty immature and tends to not use her brain until she's in trouble, so I wouldn't be surprised if some people didn't like her, if only because she did something stupid. When she dislikes someone, or feels like someone dislikes her she'll try to avoid them as best she can. Dealing with them would just be too much work. |  |
| [cs=2]Ideas One-sided: I think most enemies would be this. I just can't picture Amaranth hating anyone. So, I don't find generic enemies extremely interesting for her. I think it would just be a lot of frustration on the other character's end when she just doesn't care that they exist at all, which I suppose could be funny. Pre-existing relationships here are fine, though I would want to plot out the history of them. Scary: Amaranth may be pretty laid-back most of the time, but she can be frightening when provoked. If she views someone as a direct threat to herself (such as any demon hunters or anyone that would want to enslave her just because she's not human) she can get quite creative and nasty. This is when she would turn on her brain and put in the effort to taking them down, often in exceptionally mean ways since she wouldn't attack them directly. I think even a harmless person that knows she's not human would qualify for this too because she would be constantly afraid that it would slip somehow. Super Serious: She just finds some people disagreeable, and if that disagreeableness is too strong she may actually confront them. I think she'd try to make them lighten up. Being that serious can't be good for anyone's back! I don't think she would call people like this an enemy, but the other person may not feel the same way! |
Lovers
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,2,true] | Amaranth is asexual in the sense that she literally has no reproductive organs, so she doesn't experience sexual attraction or sexual desires. To her, there really isn't any difference between love and a really close friendship. Flirting, references to love and sexual humor would just fly right over her head; it's simply a thing she does not understand and probably will never understand completely. So, I'm not sure how things would work here honestly. |

Of course, just because I can't think of them doesn't mean they're not out there. I'd love to hear any plot ideas you have, or even if you have none and you just have an idea for a thread starter or something I'd love to hear that too. Spontaneous RP is quite fun after all! |  |
| [cs=2]Ideas Customer: She works as an informant of some kind right now. She's really good at retrieving lost things and finding people because of her tracking abilities and Treasure Radar. So, I picture her meeting a lot of people like this, and depending on what they're looking for could lead to some really interesting threads. |
