Yuu Kisaragi
Name: Yuu Kisaragi
Age: 20
Gender: Male (yes)
Sexuality: Bisexual
Occupation: Yuu is currently taking up graduate studies in university under ethics and moral philosophy. He is in his second year of graduate studies and on the side he acts as a translator of various literary works, novels, and comics/manga.
Alliance: Neutral
Group: Persona-user
Weapons: Yuu has an ivory walking stick which was given to him by his late mother. The walking stick is deceptively harmless, but it conceals a rather non-descript katana in it. Yuu would much rather avoid using this except in cases of self-defense, opting to use the walking stick itself as a blunt weapon. Yuu's mother gave the walking stick a name: Tensaibou (lit. Genius Stick). The katana itself has no name, though... However, Yuu believes the blade itself was forged and ordered privately, and is by no means commercial, though he has no proof for that. The katana itself has some distinctly archaic kanji etched on one side of the edge, not even Yuu can recognize what it says.
Personality: Yuu is incredibly soft-spoken, however, he is not the kind of person who stammers that often, despite his appearance. In fact, he only becomes incredibly scared when his own life or wellbeing (or somebody else's) is in danger, because he basically fears the concept of death. He doesn't want death to fall upon anybody, including himself. Due to his fear of death, he tries his best to do what he can to prevent that from happening to anyone, which leads to a couple of instances of paranoia here and there, and can become incredibly assertive when it comes to convincing others not to do things that would endanger their safety. As a result of this paranoia, he becomes basically incredibly caring and worrisome towards people who need to put their life on the line.
That is to say, he also puts an equal amount of effort into taking care of himself as well, since he also doesn't want to die. He can be quite quick at thinking up of ways to get out of sticky situations without resorting to violence, and becomes downright berserk when he witnesses a killing which he deems as "unjust," in the sense that he becomes incredibly mad upon seeing injustices being done towards the innocent. In that same respect, he feels that those who have done "evil" things need to be punished and that "justice needs to be served." Even so, he himself feels that he doesn't have the power to carry out that role himself, and he considers himself as a "guide" or a "helper."

History: Yuu Kisaragi was born and raised in Okinawa for most of his life, where he was the only male in a family of a single mother and three sisters. His rich mother apparently managed to con her husband out of her life through some less than savory means, though until this day Yuu never knew this. Since the entire family consisted of females and the Kisaragi family at the time were well known for being one of the richest matriarchal families at the time in Okinawa, Yuu was raised as if he were their daughter, and mostly took on his mother's appearances. Since everybody in the family had one way to defend themselves, Yuu was also taught some rudimentary self-defense and was enrolled in lessons in how to use a Bo staff at around the age of 10. His education was standard, though he displayed signs of a gifted student, and was recommended to be accelerated through the years. Life remained peaceful for the Kisaragi family since then until Yuu was around 14 years old, in his senior year of high-school.
It was during this tumultuous time that Yuu became traumatized and afraid of the idea of "death," and the things that surrounded it. Yuu's father, bitter and resentful over what Yuu's mother did to him, hired some highly skilled hitmen to kill Yuu's entire family. Instead of wanting to go clandestinely, the father instructed the hitmen to simply run in and kill them, in the most gruesome and most bloody way possible. And so they did, since they were paid a very handsome sum (both of Yuu's parents were bloody rich). At night, these hitmen invaded the Kisaragi household while they were having dinner, and a fight broke out. Since Yuu was too young, one of his sisters tried taking Yuu to a safer place, but was shot several times in the back, and her body fell on top of Yuu's, which caused the hitmen to think he died as well (when he didn't). Yuu's eyes peered around and he saw the rest of his family fall down, dead, one by one, though what he didn't realize that his eldest sister had actually concealed herself and was completely absent from the scene.
Yuu stood up after crawling out of from under the body of his older sister, and saw the hitmen who were surprised to see this kid still alive. They pointed their guns at him, and that's when survival instinct kicked in, that's when the voice of life called out, and lo' and behold, the power of Yuu's Persona awakened to him in this hopeless situation. Hathor, the Egyptian Goddess of Love, Motherhood and Joy, had been called out. With the power bestowed from Hathor, Yuu was able to avenge the death of (most of) his family. Afterwards, the eldest sister of Yuu appeared, though she had apparently been wounded prior. Yuu's mother was also still breathing, though she had witnessed none of Hathor's awakening, and with her dying breath, granted Yuu the ivory walking stick, Tensaibou. Yuu's eldest sister, Karen, swore that she would take care of Yuu for the rest of her days, and the two of them used the money left by Yuu's mother to move to the Tokyo region to start a new life.
In the present day, Yuu and his eldest sister still live together, but Yuu is now a college student taking up graduate studies and helping with providing income through his translation jobs, while his eldest sister eventually ended up taking over their mother's company, and works hard at managing everything. While Yuu was on the Internet checking his e-mail for potential prospects, he found an e-mail sent to him from a suspicious address. He did not see any malicious attachments, but he found an ominous message in it that detailed the coming of demons and malicious, otherworldly beings that threatened the safety of Japan. Skeptical about it, he dismissed the e-mail, but that's when he heard about recent attacks on the innocent in the news......

She is considered an important deity in the Egyptian pantheon, and was often depicted as the goddess who welcomed the dead into the Next Life. In some depictions she is shown as a cow goddess. Hathor's materialization is representative of Yuu's trauma in that he wishes to prevent the innocent from being forced to embraced Death unjustly.
