Occupation: Private investigator at the Tachibana Detective Agency.

-Nameless
Nameless is a thirty-inch blade that has no proper name. The blade has been with Shirako since she began her work as a private investigator. Though it was not made by an overly skilled smith, the blade has served the investigator well over the years. Its actual age is unknown- as it was a hand-me-down to a friend of her brother, to her brother, and eventually to her- but the blade has aged well. She often brings it along in her pack, even if she's not on the job, as a precaution.
-Tsuki no Kiba
Tsuki no Kiba, or “Fang of the Moon”, is a blade forged by a smith who practiced in the arts of forging used by the smiths of warring-age Japan. The blade is about twenty-seven inches long and is a pure white. It's noticeably higher in quality than Nameless, but the woman only brings it along with her on jobs that she expects will be particularly nasty. Despite her motivations for bringing it along, Tsuki no Kiba has not once taken a life, as every job it has been taken on ended up going exceedingly well. Half for precaution and half for the sake of considering it a lucky charm, Shirako, to this day, brings the katana along wherever the need may present itself.
-Tactics-
Due to having a bad heart, Shirako cannot just wildly fight and waste energy. She takes in her surroundings in a fight, judging the situation before actually fighting- and, even then, she rarely makes the first move. Taking a defensive role in combat, in a one-on-one fight, she tends to lure her opponent in, perhaps taunting them with an insult or two, and provokes a strike before weaving just out of their range as they attack. While they recover, she typically steps in for the kill. It's a basic procedure, but, in most of her jobs, she fights angry people, and angry people don't seem to use their head. That, or she's been graced with idiotic enemies.
When engaged with more skilled opponents, or those that are not quite hot-headed, though, Shirako alternates her strategy a bit. While she will still take go-no-sen if possible, she's open to sen-no-go, or sen, if the situation is good. Rarely does she attempt to take sen-no-sen, as, against a skilled opponent, she weighs the risk of it being a lure too great compared to the gain of it being a genuine folly.
Current sword disciplines-
General Kendo
Jigen-ryu
Ono-ha Itto-ryu – along with dabbling into some of the variation child-styles
Yagyu Shinkage-ryu
Personality:
Shirako's personality varies depending on the situation. On an every day basis, she's mildly talkative- friendly and down-to-earth. With family and those she considers friends, she's kind- honest and faithful, gentle in her own way. She's protective, though it often comes off as roughness, sometimes to the point that it seems like possessiveness. In retrospect, those she doesn't like often get the cold shoulder, if not a hilt-smack.
In terms of professionalism, Shirako is a conundrum. She's overly cautious on the job and quick to become paranoid when people seem- what she considers- “odd”, but her general sense of distrust and outright disbelief seems to completely leave her the moment she returns home. Even funnier, she has no problems with living at home with the rest of her family, despite her shady occupation. Her room is another similar mystery. It is, putting things nicely, a dump. It is in no way neat, yet, to her, it's fine. She can locate anything in her room despite the apparent chaos. It's a “neat disorganization”- if that were ever possible.
In reality, the woman gets too relaxed at home, though she'd never admit it. If she did not expect work on a particular day, the only thing keeping her from staying home, in her pajamas, and lazing about while in a half-drunk state would be a schedule or planned outing with someone. Despite her laziness and sloppiness at home, though, she's very self-reliant, seldom allowing others to assist her. This is as much a boone to her as it is a detriment. Her refusal to rely on others often pushes her to self-destructive ends. On the other hand, it's a sign that, despite her slowly-worsening condition, she refuses to accept pity, even if it makes things rougher for her.

History:
Shirako was born into a happy family at the same time as her twin. For the most part, she led an average childhood, aside from having a weak heart, and a completely identical sister. That ended at age eight. It was at that time that the father died, jumping at and knocking his children to safety as the ceiling of a room collapsed in what was considered to be a freak accident. To the three children, the father was a hero, but that vision could not have been further from the truth, when one knew all the puzzle pieces.
Their mother put on a strong face- never shedding tears in front of her children (or in general, actually)- and the children eventually overcame their loss. Around the age of ten, Shirako and her twin were both told by their mother to learn a method of self-defense. Shirako took up kendo, effectively hitting first dan at age thirteen. She then continued to practice officially until she hit high school- by which time she was effectively a third dan. Though she ceased official practice, she continued training in private- along with learning other disciplines.
In high school, she did not actively participate in clubs, though she had a rather bad habit of popping into the kendo, cooking, and literature clubs. Her twin took part in the cooking club, which inspired her popping in there. The other two were purely for her own interest. Her grades were not the best, but she usually hit above the eighty-five mark in classes. Her jack-of-all-trades skill set and open and friendly personality, along with her twin's intelligence and innocence, made the two of them fairly popular towards their second and third years.
After graduation, Shirako had no motivation to attend a college, finding that she had nothing in particular she wanted to study. Her sister did move on to college. On the other hand, looking towards her brother for inspiration, she quickly turned her sights towards private investigation. Becoming his assistant before hitting nineteen, she gradually went from assisting him on jobs to working on other jobs under the name of his office. The two currently view each other as reliable business partners on that front.
At the age of twenty-one, Shirako encountered her first demon while running a stakeout at night. Though she was armed with a blade, she could not help but feel just a little bit intimidated by what was obviously neither human nor animal. After a long chase, the demon finally managed to corner Shirako, but that was where the defication impacted the rotating oscillator. Energy surged, and Urdefrer materialized, lancing the demon with a cross-jab of its blades. With time and investigation, Shirako realized the nature of her power, along with the fact that her siblings also possessed similar abilities.
Currently, and likely for some time yet, Shirako still lives with her mother and both her siblings. The overall mood at their home is not too different than from when they were in high school. The mother seems to be in no rush to usher them out of the house, and Shirako and the older brother both provide excess funding for whatever the mother's wages cannot cover.

Other info:
Urdefrer is not an entity from mythology, but a fairytale. It is a four-legged spider-like knight that protects a princess of the netherworld. It wields sister swords, both three feet in length. One is completely black, while the other is completely white- the two appropriately named Ebony and Ivory. In terms of size, Urdefrer is quite imposing, standing at something around ten feet in height. Naturally, it's built quite large, but its presence is made even more imposing by its large, night-black armor.
