It was probably ill-advised for a fifteen year old to go out into an empty cemetery in the middle of the night. … probably. Most likely, but Russell wasn’t worried. Of course, those sorts of things applied to normal kids, certainly not a hardboiled detective like himself.
He popped the collar of his moss-green trenchcoat and tilted his Sherlock Holmes cap down a bit. It was a little chilly, but not full blown cold. Still, it was the thing that Detective Cooper did, because all detectives did it. It also made him look bigger, but that wasn’t the point. He stuck his hands in his pockets and looked around. The cemetery was… well, empty. Or seemingly empty.
He had come here to investigate the rumored activity that went on in the night, despite the fact that it may not be a simple demon. “Probably some palooka who don’t know which end to hold a gat.” He said out loud, but not too loud. He wasn’t afraid of anything else cropping up like thugs or serial killers or some crazy mix. He was Detective Cooper, a loose cannon cop on the edge, and he knew no bounds. He cleared his throat, fixed his imaginary tie, and walked between the rows of graves, playing them little attention. He wasn’t afraid of no dead people. He was here to try to stop something from happening.
But here was nobody here! It was somewhat disappointing, but Russell wasn’t about to give up. He pulled out a magnifying glass from his trenchcoat pocket, and examined the nearest grave. He had forgotten his fingerprint powder and everything else that a detective should have, but eh. He could pretend. As he turned to check the next grave, he spotted footprints in the ground. “Ah, so we got our perp.” He grinned. The footprints told of small feet, possibly a woman’s? Really, after meeting his aunt he realized that small, dainty feet weren’t the mark of a woman, but still. Maybe she was just weird. He followed the footprints, keeping low to the ground (or at least, as low that the graves would mostly conceal him) until he arrived at a particularly fancy grave: not the largest nor the best-looking around, but it was noticeable among the rest.
Sitting on the grave was a familiar face. Or, well, somewhat familiar. Cait Sidhe changed her form too frequently for Russell to remember the exact appearances perfectly, but at least she was sort of consistent with some parts of her appearance. For instance, her black hair and gold eyes. While she had usually taken the appearance of a cat, she had apparently deemed it fit to join him today as a human girl of a slightly younger age. About thirteen, but she looked even younger. “Where’d you get the clothes?” He asked, allowing himself to go out of character. She was wearing normal clothes: cream colored blouse with a pink skirt that reached her knees and somewhat dirty sneakers. “Your sister,” The demon said, frowning and patting her skirt, “I regret making the choice now, though. This just feels weird.”
Of course, he thought, I forgot you usually go naked. He cleared his throat and stuffed his hands in his pockets. The candy stick was almost gone by now. “Kittens like you shouldn’t wandering the streets this late,” He said cooly, “You might run into some unfavorable folk.”
She smiled, amused. She knew very well that Russell was a bit... unnerved, but that was to be expected, what with all the dead people around. She perked up at a small sound, and from the corner of her eyes, she saw movement. “You mean like.. now?”

There were some things you just did not do. Breaking down doors in a military base, cussing out teachers when you wanted to keep your grades, trying to hold up a gun store... In this particular case, one such thing had actually been done. It might have been an accident, but that didn't change just how much trouble the one who did it could quite easily end up in.
Seian was unarmed in Tokyo at night. Outdoors. Not only that, he was in a cemetary some ridiculous distance away from where he should have been at the time.
"How the hell did I end up here...?" Of course, he knew the answer already. "Oh right, because I can't bother to freaking pay attention to anything besides my curiosity!" Seian wasn't being particularly loud, just harshly whispering at himself. Either way, he was currently experiencing a rather potent mix of self-loathing and fear. He really had no idea where he was, no one he could call to come pick him up, nothing. If he could manage to get access to a computer with internet, it might be possible for him to try and contact Yuu over IM... But unfortunately, it might also be too late at night for that. Assuming that Yuu was actually on today to begin with.
Of course, if not being able to get home tonight was the only problem, he'd survive. However, it very much... Wasn't. While he doubted this cemetary was gang territory, it seemed far from an unlikely place to encounter demons. And, of course, he was basically defenseless if that happened, so all he could hope was that if he did encounter one, it would be a hell of a lot weaker than Samael. Or merciful.
It really was his fault that he'd ended up in this situation. Yes, he'd made a commitment when he'd left to go on his walk not to wander very far. No, he hadn't remembered that at all until it was far too late. That had actually been before now, but he had of course gotten distracted -again- before he could find his way home. And then he'd wandered here before finally remembering again.
His curiosity really was going to be the death of him.
...Possibly right about now, depending on the source of the voice he heard right now. "You mean like.. now?"
Try to be friendly... Don't provoke whoever it is... "U-um... Hello?"

This was the first time he had ever taken out one of his clients for a late-night walk through the cemetary. He usually saw cemetaries and too open for a private outing, but today was a special night. He couldn't tell you exactly why it was special, but that's what he saw it. It was a chilly night, not cold enough to cause his breath to show, but cold enough to bite his bare skin as he flattened out the last few piles of dirt covering his latest client. She was an exceptional client, he thought to himself, and maybe that's why he decided on such an inconspicuos location as a cemetary. But all went much better than expected, as Henry didn't run into a single soul tonight. It was a very special night, after all.
After the last mound of dirt was thrown down on the now completely covered hole, which was of course dug out of an already set tomb, Henry straightened himself and went for the handkerchief in his left pocket. He wiped away some sweat droplets from his forehead and neck before neatly folding it and replacing it in the same pocket. For a moment, he just stood there, leaning on the shovel he so conviniently found outside the cemetary keeper's shack. Henry thought back on his latest client, on how beautiful she was. How complient. Unlike the ones before her, she did not scream, did not cry out for help once he told her the operation was to begin. All she did was cry softly and never once did she close her eyes. She was looking for pity from him, he knew it, but pity was not something Henry was familiar with. On the other hand, he did feel as if he fell in love with the girl, with her long raven hair and green eyes.
It was time for him to go, though. He couldn't stay for too long, his luck may run out and a mourner may notice the shirtless young man standing over a freshly filled grave. Which reminded him, he needed his clothes before he left. He rid himself of his shirt and jacket before digging as to not get them too dirty and left them ona headstone only ten or so feet away. His pants, too, were folded and left with the other two pieces of tonight's attire. Nothing could show any sign that the man was in the dirt, it was basic procedure. With one final look at the grave, Henry turned on his heel and headed back toward the headstone keeping his clothes away from the mud and grass. First piece of clothing to be worn again were his pants, an expensive looking pair of tailored, black dress pants. Next came his shirt, long sleeved and buttoned. Lastly came the expensive-looking fleece jacket. Henry always dressed like this after an operation, more so nowadays, though. With this being such a big city, people were more inclined to not question a man for dressing up at such a late hour, as there was always a socialite party going on in Tokyo. Of course, it could also be that the people of the city just really didn't care for what it is a person was doing.
Henry beat a few stray specks of dust off his jacket and pants before putting his hands in his pockets and making his way to the exit. Tonight was a good night. A special night. He really should go celebrate it, maybe indulge in some fine wine and an episode of one of his favorite dramas. He really hasn't had much time for himself, lately. There were so many clients in this city, and no one even bothered to put up a missing person's case for older teen woman. The population almost expected them to run away from home without leaving a note. Not only that, but they seemed to really enjoy Henry's company. He's known for a quiet awhile that he had a sort of charismatic air about him, especially when it came to woman, but unlike in the states most of his clients seemed to prefer the taller and much, much leaner (as Henry was a very thin man) men. Oh, how he loved Tokyo. Loved it almost as much as he did detectives.
Speaking of detectives, there was one only three or so dozen feet away from where Henry was now standing. At first, the man thought he was just imagining things. Detectives haven't dressed like that since England's Victorian era, or as Henry liked to remember it: the days of the magnificent Jack the Ripper. He and him had so much in common, Henry always liked to say to his clients, except for the fact that the Ripper's own operations were slightly too messy for Henry. He prefered to keep the body as intact as possible. To preserve the human form's beauty. Anyway, Henry decided to check and see what was going on. He was sometimes to curious for his own good, but who would let up the chance to meet a real life Sherlock Holmes and his own personal Watson? The closer Henry got, though, the more disappointed he became. This was no Holmes, this was a child with an incredible imagination and his girlfriend. Well, he already made it this far and was still curious to find out what a such a young man was doing here at this hour. His did not make a single sound as he made his way through the cemetary. It was part of the job to not make a sound, just incase he was feeling more like kidnapping a girl than wooing her.
He was only about ten or so feet away when another form made its way into the picture. Another male, also fairly young. Henry stopped moving, but made no move to try and hide himself, instead he just stood there, deciding that it would be better to just wait and see how things were going to develop before making his prescence known.

Dear lord, the amount of self-control it took to not spin around and yell. When Cait Sidhe had pointed the culprit out, he took a deep breath and turned around, moving towards the source of a very timid-sounding ‘hello’. There, he saw said culprit.
Said “culprit” didn’t really look like a culprit at all. He was way too... posh. Maybe it was the glasses, or the hair, or even the clothing, but he gave off the vibe of high-class. Sort off. High-class didn’t look like if they were going to have an accident right in the middle of a cemetery. Well, it wasn’t that bad, but it was refreshing to see someone being all nervous about… something. Who knew. Who cared? It gave him a +1 to his intimidation stat.
Especially someone older than him! Hell yes.
Detective Cooper put on his mask of cold calmness: a face that showed no emotion. He had to be cool, smooth. “Chill, kid. S’just me.” He grinned, somehow keeping the stub of the candy stick in place between his teeth. “Though maybe that ain’t such a good thing for you.” He lowered his head so that the shadows fell over his eyes, hiding them. Dramatic effect and lighting worked pretty well. The lighting here wasn’t as good: just the standard from the streetlights, and one of them had gone out already.
He looked up and motioned with both of his arms at the area around them. “You know where you are, kid? You’re in the goonies. The big bad. Makes me wonder why a kid like you’d be wandering out here at this time.”
Cait Sidhe smirked, though remained at the grave. Russell could play his games. She would be the lookout for any real game. This guy didn’t look like a demon, but hey, some demons were professionals at this sort of thing. She wasn’t the analytical type, and the human nose was useless for sniffing these sort of things out. Plus, it might give her away if she went up to the guy and took a big whiff at him. Plus, Russell knew what he was doing. … she hoped.
Her gold eyes swept over the area, taking note of every little detail. The graveyard was mostly empty besides these guys and— Oh? That was a bit.. creepy. A man, much older than any of them (minus herself, of course) was standing a good distance away, simply.. watching. She stared at him. She growled, but it was a very quiet growl, a growl that rose in her throat but went no further than that. If anyone saw her, they’d know something was up, just from the intensity of her gaze.
Russell didn’t notice. She stared at a lot of things. Maybe it was just something cats – and cat demons – did. He neared the boy, and it became apparent that the stranger was taller than him. This did not change anything. “So, kid, ya got a name or somethin’ your mama calls you?”

Seian's fear quickly gave way to a sort of awkward sense of confusion. "Uh..." The "goonies"? Really? Who actually ever said that word? ...Hell, who dressed like this guy in any country? Was he on his way home from a cosplay convention or something else like that? Or maybe it could be some weird tradition or in-joke of sorts for visiting someone's grave.
"I, uh... Kind of got lost. I was taking a walk over in Hongo but got caught up in exploring..." He didn't even think about the fact that he was speaking English. It was still what he was more used to, and fully adjusting to Japanese take a while yet. You didn't become a master of a language by two courses on it and a week in a country that speaks it.
Seian hadn't forgotten the other voice he heard, and now he glanced up to see the girl who had spoken. She looked really young... Why were these two out here? She seemed rather unconcerned about, well, everything at the moment, not bothering to look at him and not looking even remotely nervous.
...He really hoped that there weren't any demons in this cemetary. All three of them might be in trouble then, and he knew he wouldn't be willing to just leave them to the creature.
Seian looked down at the boy as he approached, and blinked when asked his name. "Mama... Er, anyway, I'm Seian." A moment of realization. "...Huh, you speak English." Rather of an obvious statement, but he hadn't given it much thought until now, more distracted by everything else on his mind.
"So... What about you? Also, why are you dressed like that. You come back from cosplaying somewhere, or...?" Might as well ask. It was kind of bugging him, really. The way he was dressed was by no means standard. Nor was the way he talked, really.
Seian glanced up again, wondering about the girl as well, and saw... Something seemed odd. What was she looking at?
"Wha-?!" Seian was startled as he saw someone else standing in the shadows. "Who- Who are you?" That was more than a little bit creepy. Was that some sort of demon...? He couldn't tell in this light whether the shadow was fully human or just humanoid. Though neither was necessarily safe...

This particular day was an interesting day for Sakuya, who was requested by her father to come visit her true home back in Aoyama, only for the former to learn that she needed to conduct some "investigation" over at Aoyama Reien, apparently there was some strange activity occurring. And boy, was her daddy truly correct! Sakuya had already taken out Skadi for a spin, with the latter having decided to conceal her true appearance and masquerade as a mature warrior-lady dressed in clothes that made Sakuya feel sick; they came from the remnants of her mother's belongings. Sakuya and Skadi were quite a ways away from any signs of people at first, but upon further trekking along, they discovered that there was a very tiny congregation of people already there... One of them looked incredibly familiar, but since it was a guy, Sakuya probably hadn't bothered dignifying herself by remembering his name. hey, wasn't that guy in...? Sakuya shook her head and sighed. A sausagefest. Lovely. Did she have to cut more than one bastard in a cemetary today? Would this be a burial place? Hopefully not! Sakuya turned about and spotted a strange figure who had just gotten his clothes on. With a shovel. Creepy. hey, wait a second... that's strange. what is a man doing here with a shovel and having just gotten dressed? Sakuya thought with much worry, but Skadi placed a hand on her shoulder. " Pay no heed to it, friend. T'would be most unwise for thine hands to be tarnished at this current juncture." she whispered into Sakuya's ear, causing her to groan. i swear he must have just killed somebody! Skadi shook her head. " No, we are here to investigate, not to choose to get into fights." Skadi sighed. Sakuya sighed. let's break up the gathering, then, shall we?peace must be preserved.
let the dead rest in peace! Sakuya and Skadi both made their way towards the two guys and the girl in the middle of the cemetary. Skadi scowled while Sakuya just sighed like a disappointed and indignant mother would towards a child who just did something naughty. Upon further inspection, she found out one of the boys here was... Also probably here to investigate the demon activity. Mental facepalm. Fortunately, Sakuya's English was passable, though significantly less floral than her Japanese. " sorry to interrupt, but... i don't think this is the safest place for person like you," she said, pointing the Nameless one, her cleaver-blade at the guy who was definitely not a detective with his girl, though Sakuya and Skadi could already tell that the girl was not actually a girl. " and as for you, you should like, totally say when you're gonna run off on a tombstone adventure." Sakuya sighed. Sakuya looked to the side, wondering if that creepy guy was still there. " besides, you guys are being watched. haha. bet he's gonna try and murder y'alls. i mean, you men are all the same to me~ such mongrels~"

They hadn't noticed him just yet. They shouldn't be able to notice him in his current stop, or so he believed. That meant he had some time to study the trio now standing before him. This was, in fact, a very special special night. First an operation and now this off gettogether. Moving on, though, Henry took deciding to use his remaining time for a bit of investigating himself. First came the Holmes boy. Looking him over, he could tell that the kid was very much unnerved. It was obvious by his initial reaction to the third figure, the second boy, who arrived, but was doing an excellent job at hiding his nerves with a clever facade. Somewhat of a combination between Marlowe and a North American southern detective from Missippi Burning. Henry did love detectives, but this young man was not one. No, just another kid with an overactive imagination and a love for fiction.
Next came the second boy. Slightly older, much better dressed than most other kids his age. Judging by the kid's sense of fashion, he was either very intelligent, or just wanted to look the part. In real life, one only had to dress right in order to climb up the socioeconomic ladder. He too was terrified, at least in the beginning. Why on Earth would two kids with such weak nerves spend their nights in an empty cemetary, Henry wouldn't be able to tell you. It was ever stanger once one noticed that the second boy seemed like someone who spent most of his time alone at home.
Last came the girl. Of the three figures currently standing before him, she was the most interesting. She appeared human, she wore human clothes, spoke in a human tongue, acted as any human would, but something was off about her. Her eyes. Even from where Henry was standing now, he could see the gold tint of the iris, one that isn't usually seen on healthy human beings. There was another thing off about her, she wasn't as scared as the other two kids. Nowhere near. She was younger than the Holmes boy, too, and he himself was no more than sixteen, maybe even fifteen, years old. As Henry studied the girl further, he suddenly noticed that her eyes fell upon him. A moment later he was noticed by the older boy, too. Seian was his name. Unique.
Well, his cover was blown. As expected, but he still had enough time to study the three, which was all he planned for. Before he could step out of the shadows, though, a fourth figure appeared. Another girl. Did all the kids in Tokyo see cemetaries as good places to visit at night? Henry only nodded his head and readjusted his glasses. What else could he do, after all? He stayed in his spot for a few moments longer as the newest addition to the group began to talk. Henry didn't btoher listening to her. Actually, he didn't bother to seriously listen to anything the other said, it honestly did seem like a waste of time. There was one thing that caught his attention, though. That girl called him a murderer...
Henry let out a whole-hearted laugh after the the the fourth finished speaking. Really, an honest laugh. The man took a couple steps forward, again not making much, if any noise, and stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight so that the group could more easily see him. Before speaking he looked to each of them and finally to the golden-eyed girl. No, he wouldn't kill any of these kids, that would be against his code, but that doesn't mean he didn't play with the idea for a moment. "Murder you? I would do no such thing," he began, a friendly grin taking shape, "I wouldn't even think of doing such a thing! No, I was just out visiting my mother. It's her birthday today, you see." Henry was a terrific liar. He could cheat the most advanced lie detectors, if needed. "I came here wondering the same thing the dark-haired girl was apparently thinking: why would a group of kids as young as you decide to spend their night at a cemetary when Ikebukoro is so close?"
Henry didn't stutter as he spoke, didn't even stop mid-sentence in order to gather his bearings. He just said was needed to be said, in his opinion, and nothing else. For a second, he debated on turning around then and there and leaving the group, but the golden eyed girl really did catch his interest. He knew full well that she wasn't like the rest of them, but he couldn't be sure of it just yet. He needed evidence. He needed to know where she came from, and he needed to know how that child came to meet her. It was a subject that had intrigued him ever since he first came to Tokyo...

Skadi had apparently chosen this moment to return herself into Sakuya's talisman, because she was now nowhere to be found. Sakuya mentally applied palm to face as she heard the creepy man speak, mentioning something about it being her mother's birthday being the reason why he was here. A bit suspicious, but fair enough, that seemed like a reasonable impetus to visit the cemetery at such an hour, right? Sakuya tried not to think about it nor did she try to contest it. The Nameless one now gazed towards the new entry, this guy who apparently denied claims that he was a murderer. Now that was a lie that Sakuya refused to accept! However, she made no note of it and decided to wait for further evidence along this track. She sighed and still kept her blade pointed to the dapper fellow. " mister Detective over there and i might not have been in this together, but we are here for the same reason," Sakuya said. Soon, her neutral expression turned into one of scorn. " as for why, that's none of YOUR business." She refrained from scowling. Sakuya turned her face to the guy who was slightly older than her but not quite. She did not catch his name if he had mentioned it earlier. " and you" Sakuya narrowed her eyes towards him. " i find it quite hard to believe someone would just find their way into Aoyama Reien. surely, you were looking for something? either way, it's dangerous. i couldn't care any less about guys like you, but i'd rather be the one to kill you than whatever horrors lurk out there." Sakuya softly growled. She lowered the Nameless one to a reasonable level, but kept it held tightly. Why exactly did such a simple task have to become so complicated, she didn't really know except for one thing. it is the fault of men.

Russell calmly listened to the boy and his little tale. Yes, a likely story. Detective Cooper would be suspicious of him no matter what, but Russell the Devil Summoner knew a little better. The guy was lost. Definitely a foreigner.
.. of course, that would have been obvious with the fact that he was speaking in English, but hey. That would have made things way too easy. He blinked once at the question, paused, and then said without his faked accent, “No reason. It’s just fun.” A simple answer, but it was true.
Then he noticed the boy – err, Seian – look at Cait and then look somewhere else. He glanced back at his demon, who was watching something with such intensity that it made Russell’s hair stand on edge. He followed her gaze, and— Well, he saw the guy first, but then she had to ruin it.
Yeah, She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Russell did not hate her, nor did he even dislike her. She just disliked men. A lot. And was a bit… crazy? Well, it wasn’t his job to judge. She was a team member. Not quite a friend. Maybe. If only because of her aversion to men. He glared at her as she pointed her blade towards Seian, and stepped in front of him. “Watch it, dollface. We ain’t here to hurt the common folk.”
It was kind of amazing that he stayed in character, even when Sakuya made her comment about murder. He didn’t like the way she said it, as if murder was nothing, but.. there were important matters to deal with. The man, for instance. He seemed friendly for a guy who had been standing in the shadows for who-knows-how-long. He looked back at Cait. “Is he…?” “No.” She replied simply, casually. The word rolled off her tongue as if it was nothing, and yet... she stared at him, even as he told his story that Russell couldn’t help but believe, for the most part. A guy visiting his mother. Yeah, he seemed like that type of guy, but.. well.
Maybe it was Sakuya’s suspicion slowly getting to him. That girl did give off that sort of vibe. Still, he felt that he should answer the man’s question in a more... Detective way. “Investigating, that’s all.” Cait Sidhe nodded once in agreement.
He tipped his hat and smirked and said no more. That smirk didn’t last long, though, when Sakuya went and accused his fellow foreigner of being into unscrupulous and suspicious things. “You’re not killing anyone, Sakuya.”
Detective Cooper didn’t personally know a person named Sakuya, but by now the whole character thing was broken, shattered by that one word: “kill”. He disliked fighting teammates, but if she was so eager to kill someone, then, well.. Yeah. There’d be a fight. Russell glanced at Seian and wondered if the boy was one of those persona users, or even a devil summoner. If anything, it would probably be the former than the latter. He just got that vibe from him, or lack thereof. “Hmm… Cait? If you would…” She sighed, stretched her arms and hopped down from the gravestone. She dusted off her clothes and moved to stand at her summoner’s side and winked at Sakuya. It wasn’t one of those flirty-looking winks, it was more of a: “don’t make me angry” winks that only looked like if they were done with the intention to “woo” another. “My, my~ Tense, aren’t we? No reason to be like that.”
She noticed that the stranger was watching her, and she made a note to return that stare before looking back to Sakuya. She didn’t think that neither of them would try anything, but… well, you never know. She still wasn’t sure about the man’s identity, either. Of course, if the myths turned out to be a bunch of humans wandering to the park, then she would be very disappointed.
NOTES: Alright! Closed the thread off to new peeps, because.. well /dayum/, four people! I'd also prefer that we prevent posting directly after ne another and give everyone a chance to post. Yes, I'm looking at you, Trance~ TAG: Henry, Seian, Sakuya WORDS: 668

Seian's terror rapidly intensified, and he felt paralyzed witnessing the utter absurdity in front of him. This had gone from eerie to traumatizing amounts of surreal horror at an incredible pace, and he didn't have the slightest clue how to react to it.
The blade the woman held had an appearance of being stained with blood, and she had an air of hostility and madness, with a clear disdain for those in front of her. Everything about her screamed danger to Seian, and he had very powerful doubts that this night would end peacefully.
The man was less worrying to Seian at the moment, something at the side of his mind. His story was believeable, and he wasn't nearly so threatening as this woman who had just arrived. The woman's companion didn't immediately seem consequential either... At least, until she suddenly disappeared, startling Seian and intensifying his fear even more. And of course, that was further compounded by her outright threats of murder.
"You...! Agh..." He couldn't get himself to say anything, as paralyzed by his fear as he felt. ...But then the boy revealed that he knew this madwoman. He also sounded incredibly calm given the situation, as did the younger girl with him...
Seian tried to think, to understand what was going on. ...Wait. With all this... These people had to know about the paranormal activity in Tokyo. He'd been looking for SEES for a couple days now, but even if he hadn't found them, he'd probably found someone else who could help with finding out what was happening...
"Could... Could someone tell me what's going on...? It sounds like you know what's happening in Tokyo..." He didn't feel as if he was actually even being coherent, and he was still scared as hell of this... Sakuya. But maybe... Maybe this could turn out for the best.

ooc note::well, sorry about that.Sakuya simply glared back at the younger girl who clearly was not; she could tell these things easily. She sighed and put the Nameless one back into her cylindrical case, resigning to the fate that she would not be able to do much at the moment. Right now, she had unwittingly drew the ire of the detective's demon companion, and Skadi had decided not to rear herself, leaving Sakuya on her own for the most part. She decided to indulge the now terrified man on a little detail. " i was joking, sparky. maybe," Sakuya said, rubbing her forehead for a moment as she now held no weapon in her hand. " anyway, i hadn't expected you to come, i was here on a personal investigation as well. comes with the family, as they say. i'm sure you must have heard of the rumoured signs of paranormal activity. you know. zombies. demons. stuff like that." Sakuya shrugged. Then from behind her the mature woman that was Skadi suddenly appeared again. " You are so stupid sometimes, Sakuya." Skadi chastised the younger girl for her discriminatory behavior, which caused the latter to rub her temples for a moment. " can it. you're always on their side." Sakuya said, almost on the verge of scowling. " I am not the one who was repeatedly brutalized and violated by them. I have no reason to be so indignant nor vengeful towards them. Perhaps, it would be more prudent for our detective compatriot and I to prevent you from doing anything too foolish." Skadi continued, causing the former to wince and grit her teeth. " Lady Ska...! did you really have to say that out loud? not many people are supposed to know that." Sakuya said, a mix of both annoyance and uncharacteristic weakness rife in her voice. Skadi sighed and shrugged, curtseying and bowing towards Cait Sidhe in apology. " Yes, my liege's behavior is at times highly confusing. She takes her hatred to such ridiculous levels, it seems to bother even us, hmm hmm~? Yet here comes along another woman, and she'll be the warrior angel most girls we know are familiar with her as. How confusing!" Skadi continued to rant on, as if indirectly giving the others snippets on what Sakuya was really like. Can it, Skadi. That's enough. Skadi smiled, and for those that could see her face in the darkness, it was a wry smile, one that signified that her work was done. Yet she still remained, a foil to Sakuya's antics. " Forgive me for my disappearance, I was scouting the area for any signs of interference; mayhaps there is nothing now, but in time, they may suddenly appear." Sakuya simply remained silent as Skadi explained herself to the former. Then, Skadi, still maintaining a mature, somewhat motherly facade (to her completely devoid of emotion demon form) to Seian, and nodded her head. " This Sakuya can be dangerous, but only if you provoke her. Just mind your own business, ignore her threats, and you'll be fine. Just do not do anything stupid like piss her off." Skadi's arms were folded and she looked rather annoyed at Sakuya. " how annoying."

It was kind of really amusing to see Seian freaking out. It was also a tad worrying. Poor guy was going to give himself a freaking heart attack if he didn’t stop. Then again, with Skadi being very un-subtle about her not-being-human-ness it was kind of natural that he would be shocked to the point of being unable to speak. But when he did speak, it was phrased as a question.
He would have said something, but being the gentleman that Detective Cooper was, he allowed Sakuya to go first. Yeah, her passive-aggressiveness and dislike towards men was bound to have an effect on whatever comment she could whip up, but whatever. Manners. From there the girl’s demon partner showed up, berating her partner and going on a tangent that was both funny to hear and also very awkward. Mostly funny. He couldn’t keep much of a straight face now. It was more of slightly concealed smirk, or as the Americans call it, a shit-eating grin.
“Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.” He mocked, and listened to the rant. Cait Sidhe listened, too, but only half-heartedly, and even less as the rant went on, nodding lightly but having a grin similar to her partner’s with the exception of hers being less obvious. When it finally ended, Russell spoke up, “Eh. We might have scared ‘em off with all this racket.” He shrugged. He wasn’t hoping for it, but it was a thing that was very possible. A gathering this large inside a cemetery? It was too noticeable. Of course, that would be the case if it was just a regular thug. Maybe an actual demon would think differently, if they believed that they were all just normal people. And half of this group was actually normal, which made Russell wonder how the heck they were going to manage protecting them if they were outnumbered.
Eventually he simply shrugged the thought off and resumed to his original plan. “S’pretty simple,” He began, obviously addressing Seian’s last question, “’cause, see, we do know what’s happening in Tokyo. For the most part. The mad girl with the sword has it right. That paranormal stuff? It’s not just rumors. Most people think they’re just urban legends, but us? We know better.” He was speaking in a noticeably quieter voice. It would be easy for Seian and Sakuya to hear, being closer to him, though the stranger and any other outsiders would have trouble. He wasn’t worried about the man, but outsiders? Well, they always did say paranoia was another term for longevity.
He jabbed his thumb at himself and Sakuya and their respective partners. “The Supernatural Entity Extermination Squad. SEES for short.” He was positively beaming with pride as he said this. “It ain’t just us, of course, we have plenty of others, and we fight against these phenomenons (or at least try to fix them) and we just generally act awesome. Kind of like Mystery Inc. and Ghost Busters.” By now he was already on top of the nearest tombstone as if preaching. Cait Sidhe looked up at him and sighed, “You talk too much. Get back down here.”
Russell rolled his eyes and stepped back down. “So!” He clapped his hands together, “Any questions? I can’t tell you too much – super secret confidential group business and all.”

She was joking. Of course. Because you normally point at strangers with a clearly sharp and bloodstained blade and threaten to kill them as a joke. And of course, she even said "maybe". Yeah, he wasn't buying it. The girl was definitely some kind of nutjob, and not the patently harmless kind. Somehow though, he had a feeling that her mentioning the paranormal activity was not a product of that madness. At least, not with the others here...
Then the other woman returned, as suddenly as she had disappeared. Startling as it might have been, the coming exchange between her and Sakuya, as the girl was apparently called, was comforting in a way. Well, at least she had a reason for the madness... And she wasn't a total sociopath either. It was kind of sad really- However, the position they were in did not particularly put Seian in a mood to try and fix her. Still, having the older woman present, and clearly keeping Sakuya in check, was quite a bit comforting.
Seian relaxed now. They might have been in a graveyard where demons quite possibly hung out, along with misandrist madwoman, but at least he now knew that said madwoman wasn't about to kill him. He also had a feeling that these guys could handle themselves if real danger did show up. The situation was still hardly one of absolute safety, but it was a lot better than it had seemed a moment ago, and he had a feeling he was about to find out what was going on.
The boy's explanation confirmed the inferences he'd made (not that it was difficult to figure out) as to their reasons for being here. They knew about the demons too... Getting some more information would help a lot.
Seian couldn't help feeling a little odd when the boy stood up on top of a tombstone in his excitement. Who the hell got that excited about something like this? Was he even taking it seriously? Regardless, since he was from SEES... Yes, yes, this was very very good. The absolute lack of leads had been replaced by a chance encounter that had brought him exactly where he wanted to be. ...Well, maybe not exactly. He still felt a little uncomfortable around blood-sword girl. But still.
"Questions? I'm not sure what I could start asking... There's so much, really, but the specifics kind of, uh, elude me." Seian sighed. "Hearing that you're from SEES is a relief though. I've been trying to find you since my friend and I had our own encounter with a demon... Still can't believe that thing left us alive." He paused, remembering the incident. Samael... What was that creature's plan?
"Honestly, I just want to find out why they're here, and figure out how to end things the best way for everyone. ...Really, I'd need to know everything you can tell me."

Detective Cooper was being a bit too gung-ho about this, getting up on a goddrat tombstone as he made, what appeared to be a lame attempt at gloating, at least to Sakuya it was. Upon referring to her as "the mad girl with the sword," Sakuya just rolled her eyes in response. Yes, she would be pretty mad at him if he continued to to refer to her as that rather than strictly a colleague. Sakuya had been trying to get past her hatred of men in these situations, but it still bled out occasionally. Cait Sidhe had mildly chastised the boy for his antics though, which had made Sakuya feel a little bit relieved that her demon wasn't the only one being a necessary rear end in a top hat. Seian had stated his reasons for being here and expressed great relief in finding members of SEES, only to say that he and his friend had survived an encounter with Samael, who Sakuya knew to be the angel of death from her readings on the subject.
"samael, isn't that the name of the angel of death? you know, the thing who runs around burning the crap out of everything?" Sakuya tilted her head and stared incredulously at Seian. "so you encountered that thing and survived. i can tell from the getgo you don't seem to have any special abilities yet, but your friend obviously must have in order to have made sure the two of you didn't just explode then and there." Sakuya leaned against a nearby tree, emphasizing the word "yet," while Skadi just simply walked by Sakuya's side. "You should be quite grateful to your friend, mhm." Skadi just blurted out of the blue, but that was it. Sakuya simply sighed and tried to mull over things a little - indeed, there must have been a source for all of this. "i'm still working on it. i'm not sure what mister detective over there thinks about this; you all already know how much i dislike men at this point, so i tend to go solo." Skadi shook her head and Sakuya sighed, her expression distinctly different from the indignant, angry face she had only moments ago. It was clear she did not intend to pick fights with anyone tonight anymore.
