Tsukuba Academy, is a large live-on campus academy located in Tokyo, Japan within the Azabu Juuban district that was built and established in 1966. It is the largest school in the district as well as the only one that enables students to have a choice between living on campus in either the boys or girls dorms or just attending classes online. Tuition is not free. The prices range between $2000 to $9000 dollars depending on what you score on the entrance exam. Tuition also covers not only just entrance into the school but supplies needed, required books, as well as room and board for none of this stuff comes free. However, as an added bonus, should a student decide to live on the campus grounds, they are given a $20 dollar allowance at the end of every week that can be used on anything. Does not matter, so long as it isn't illegal. And out of all the schools in this particular district, Tsukuba is the only one that ranks students from beginner to advance. If you score anything below 70% percent on your exam, you take BEGINNERS classes but you will remain in your right grade depending on your age. Only students taking ADVANCED classes get to skip to a grade higher thus graduating earlier than most. INTERMEDIATE students can also move up a grade as well but whatever classes your grade level requires, those are the ones you will be taken for the semester. Electives are a requirement to have but make sure you choose the ones you want quickly because they get full very fast.
The grades for this academy go from Pre-K through Twelfth, thus why the school is so large. Students from all over the world and in Tokyo are accepted, no matter your family background or if you've changed something about yourself. Chances are, you will be able to fit in just fine. That even goes for those who are not so smart. Tsukuba strives to help their students achieve their academic goals throughout their enrollment so by the time they graduate, they will leave knowing that they not only showed that they can make something of themselves but also taken in what they learned from all of their courses. Students are required to wear a school uniform during class hours. There is no set uniform design so you're allowed to wear old uniforms from adjacent schools or buy one from a local store and wear it to class. So long as it is in appropriate means. Now some teachers are lenient and will let students wear their regular casual clothes to class, but the majority of teachers will openly tell you that for their courses, you specifically need to wear a school uniform. To them, it shows that you can not only obey the academy's policy but at least make an attempt to dress decent for class.
There are plenty of after school Extracurricular clubs that are sponsored by teachers but ran by students. The creation of a club has to now be present to the new Student Council for approval. If your club lacks ten or less members, the Student Council has the right to close it down if you're unable to obtain more members. Being part of a club is optional but you have to be a dedicated member once you join and meet up with everyone on the given dates. As for becoming a member of the Student Council, you at least have to maintain a grade point average that's no lower than a B+ because there is a lot of work put into the job positions that are needed to make sure things are being ran smoothly in regards to classes, clubs, school functions, etc. Because of the large sum of students that enroll, the Headmistress Izanami Takeada tries her best to make campus living as comfortable as possible for everyone (it is also know that these two particularly are fond of competing against Juuban Municipal Academy come final exam day). It is, without a doubt, to be known that the first and last three weeks of the semester are the most hectic. This is because students are trying to get everything in order.
However, over the course of the past year (two semesters tops), a lot of things have happened. As such, Headmistress Izanami was revealed to be an evil witch with a plan to steal powers from students and use them as her own as well as awaken a coven of witches. This plan of hers failed, thanks to the students that were brave enough to stand up against her and fight. And now, she's nothing more than a powerless human being turned good and wanted to help the students fight an even greater evil that is to come. They believed it to be their Vice Headmaster, Aizen Soto, however, he was just the tip of that ice burg. Aizen had succeeded in turning literally half the students at Tsukuba evil through many ways, whether it was by using students that were already working for him to do his bidding, or forcing good students turned back to do the same. As such, he rose great anger in a small group of students and believed to know everything as to what they were doing, when they were doing it, making defeating him quite difficult. But with the help of two factions known as Writher's House, a faction established by Laura Kissinger, Dr. Karen's superior and the Fukitsu ran by Gentaru Ittetsumomo, both housing the talents of humans and supernatural beings, and students from Juuban Municipal Academy as well as their Headmaster Kohaku Koizumi and Vice Headmistress, Francis Martz, Aizen was brought down to his knees. With Aizen now dead and Izanami still in position of power running the school, things are safe now right? Wrong. Because of the commotion that had gone on thanks to Aizen, the media had gotten hold of the entire battle and as such, parents are enraged, pulling their children out of the school left and right and enrolling them into a school they feel is much safer and better for their kids.
With this going on and the media infiltrating the campus and bothering the students that are still enrolled, and Headmistress Izanami, her position is threatened along with their being a chance of the school being closed down if something isn't done soon. Are you still interested in joining this school? If you are, you're in for a rude awakening as this campus harbors many more dark secrets than the ones that have been publicly exposed. Without further ado, I would like to welcome you, new applicant, to Tsukuba Academy. Enjoy your year, while you can.
