"On the first point, we don't necessarily have to get them to go away so much as we need to bring them under control. Either one is a daunting task, but..." He sighed. This entire thing was a mess, and Yuu was right. And yet... "While I can't explain the reasons for why now, or any other of the creatures, I think I can explain what's in control of Samael. There's only one being it even could be, actually: The Christian God. Or at least, whatever being has been portrayed as such. Samael is His servant, and the way he spoke... It didn't sound as if he was in the service of a human. He mentioned beings that were above him, which were responsible for his actions. He also mentioned that those beings would claim chaos as part of order, and the person who was attacked, Haruka Yamaguchi... She'd been called an anarchist. ...Certainly, it would be consistent with some of the things that being has had done in myth. I don't buy the supposed forgiveness aspect of Christianity..."
He stopped. "But I'm rambling. Anyway, as for people who can help us... Weren't you the one who mentioned that to me at Myouhoudou? SEES... Whoever they are, they'll know more about the situation than us. I haven't found any information on them on the internet, but that's not exactly something that's easy to look up anyway. We'll need to try and find information on them here in Tokyo... I don't know where to start on that, however."
He stopped, thinking for a moment while he ate. After a bit, he decided to mention what else he had found. After swallowing a bite of his pasta, and having a drink of water to wash it down, he started talking again. "...Also, this phenomenon isn't entirely new. I found an image online, by an Italian artist in the nineteenth century. The man had recently been terribly burned in a fire, and was thought to have gone mad from the trauma when he claimed that a snake was responsible for the fire. A winged snake, in fact, as red as the one we saw... That man had been a revolutionary as well. He died not long after he drew the picture, from complications due to the burns."

Yuu shook his head and sighed. "This speculation all seems too farfetched for my understanding," Yuu said, slumping in his chair a little bit. "Undoubtedly there would be other creatures roaming the streets at certain times of the day who are similar to this Samael in nature; they could not possibly be under the jurisdiction of the Judeo-Christian God, or Yahweh, or..." Yuu shook his head again. "Even if that were the case, that would be running under the premise that such a higher power would be allowing these creatures to exist and wreak havoc, unless that is their Ultimate Plan for us mortal beings?" he said, saying something uncharacteristically morbid. Karen sighed and silently continued eating her food. "I'm sorry, nee-sama... But this is really worrisome for me... I have friends too, you know? They could be in danger." Both Karen and Yuu took a sip from their glasses of water.
"Yuu-chan..." Karen stuttered for once. Yuu's eldest sister didn't usually stutter. "If what you're telling me is really the truth... You can't... You can't do this!" she said. "You can't..." Yuu sighed and shook his head.
"That's why I'm trying to contact people who can help us. Since we know now, and it would be suicide to do it alone... I don't WANT people dying, I want to help them...! But I can't do it alone... So we need to find help..."
"..."
"Yes... We need to find someone from SEES... But where...?"

Seian sighed. "There's honestly very little to say that such a higher power wouldn't allow it. It's no different than the calamities the Bible itself says he visited upon this world. The Great Flood, the Plagues upon Egypt... Yahweh is a destructive and spiteful god." He shook his head. Strange how a scant three years ago, he'd been a blind (even if not devout) follower of the Christian faith... And now after maturing a bit, he was openly stating the cruelty of its deity. How far he had come...
"Anyway... I'm not at all sure how to find SEES. Maybe we can ask around about the issue? Even if the group isn't one we should ask about publicly, we can ask about the attacks, see if it leads us to them... I don't know much about gathering information either, but if we at least try it might lead somewhere." He paused for a moment, thinking. "Do you know of anyone interested in the occult? Not just a passing interest, involved in communities, and such? Maybe someone from those circles could lead us in the right direction..."

Yuu sighed and shuffled about as the food he had made was just about all finished; Karen sure was godly when it came to eating. He continued to just look at Seian and Karen, in deep thought, wondering just what exactly were possible places. He wasn't sure at all where to start either, which surely complicated matters quite a bit. Yuu sighed for a moment and ran off to quickly grab his cellphone, which was actually a smartphone, and used it to check some things through the internet connection. Perhaps he could find a lead from some online contacts. Browse, browse, browse. Yuu shook his head and sighed, before he came to a conclusion. "I actually don't know of any proper places that are into the occult, at least in terms of a community, but from what my connections are saying they tell me that it's easiest to find people about Shibuya?" Yuu shrugs. "I don't know how authentic or valid that opinion is but it's a starting point? Better than just sitting around here doing nothing, right?"

Seian felt the tension within the silence quite keenly. Though they were talking about it over lunch, this issue wasn't small talk by any means. Karen clearly was unhappy about it, and for good reason. If Yahweh, or any other such being, truly was responsible for this destruction, what would it mean in the end? Was it to be the end of the world, another incident like the great flood of myth? ...No, it would be worse. What was thought of as a great flood in history was much smaller than something like this... If demons were let loose upon the world, it could easily extend to the destruction of civilization.
...Though, perhaps not? These demons had enough restraint that they weren't toppling skyscrapers and burning Tokyo to the ground. Samael at least, seemed as if he was more than capable of doing so. There truly wasn't enough information to speculate about here. What was behind it? Was Samael actually still in service of Yahweh? There must have been a reason that the attacks would start taking this form now...
He looked up as he heard Yuu's voice again, and he nodded. "It's better than nothing, certainly... Of course, if we just go up and ask random people on the streets, we're likely to be regarded as lunatics. How are we going to start asking about it?" There really was one problem after another...

Yuu sighed, at his wit's end, wondering just what in blazes they should actually be doing. He had little clue of even the words he had just uttered. He would HAVE to find someone, perhaps he would try finding links online? "I figure I'll have to do some preliminary searching first; a deeper search into this, right?" he sighs, standing up and starting to clear up the table. "I think that's the best thing we can do right now. We can't charge forward without a destination in mind; a proper destination. We should both try and find people who may know a thing or two about the group before we find out where we can try to track them, right?" he suggested. He began to clean up, he was holed up in the kitchen doing the washing up. Karen just sighed and retreated to her room, leaving Seian alone in the dining room.
"What do you think?" Yuu called out while he was washing. This was going to be incredibly tough to get started, but once a lead was found, things should be relatively smooth sailing from there. The problem was... actually starting off.

Seian watched somewhat dismayed as Karen left, obviously unhappy. He did understand, and was at least grateful she wasn't protesting more... But it was still frustrating to see how she obviously opposed the idea of looking into this any more. There really was so much that needed to be learned here. This wasn't just some secret hidden away that would destroy the world if revealed, there was serious danger to human lives, that needed to be stopped. Preferably peacefully.
"What I think...? Um... Yes, a preliminary search would be a good idea. I might be able to ask around and see if there are any professors at Juntendou that are interested in the occult or paranormal... I could easily say it's for a personal project, and once I find someone that seems likely to be able to help, I could ask them about SEES." It was the best idea he had, but at least it didn't seem that bad of one...

Yuu nodded solemnly, turning away from Seian. "So it's settled then, we both try to find possible leads on this. It would be best if we split up; and then we can quickly contact each other on our findings after a couple of days, possibly a week - it depends on how long you wish to spend searching. And we'll need some time to settle down from the recent events as well." Yuu suddenly started off on this, sounding somewhat like an ultimatum (even if it wasn't really) and then, having just finished washing up the dishes and cleaning the table, he sighed and looked out the window. "Just be careful out there, okay? You don't have much to defend yourself with." he mentioned, looking very concerned and quite deep in thought. Yuu himself was considering the merits of talking to complete strangers about this whole problem, but he would also have to consider the merits of travelling to different parts of the country to search for answers. He had to balance everything with this. He would spend a weekend going about, yes. He had settled that after a few more moments of idle thought.
So it begins.
