Chaos is merely another aspect of the overarching order... So those above me would have me say. I am not the highest power there is. I cannot reveal more. I risk enough already... The serpent's demeanor changed now, the flames surrounding it dying down as he continued to look at Yuu and Hathor, as if inspecting them.
Its unblinking stare did not change as Hathor spoke to it. When her words stopped, it finally responded. I would expect no less of you Hathor. Even when your true feelings bleed through, your act never stops. Yet, no matter. I have no expectation of changing you or turning the one bonded to you against you. Whatever your true purpose, and whatever your words veil, you are right on the last for now. I shall merely urge your charge and his companion to seek knowledge of me on their own if they wish understanding. I have no doubt that I will see you again.
With that, the flames that still lingered in the streets disappeared, being replaced by an unnatural darkness that gathered around the serpent. It disappeared, slipping in with the rest of the shadows, leaving nothing behind.
Seian dropped the trash can lid, and walked toward Yuu. "What... What was all that? I just... Don't know where to begin asking..."

Yuu sighed and coughed. Hathor looked with much concern towards him, but the latter weakly nodded and muttered that "it was okay, and that it would be a good idea to rest." Hathor bowed and faded away as Yuu had called her away. He looked around and saw that not much had changed aside from the effects of Hathor's initial attack on the serpent... The flames were gone now, and all that remained was a confused Seian wondering what on earth just happened. Yuu weakly stood and looked about, a worried expression on his face. He didn't seem to be that concerned that his clothes were just singed, burned, and he generally looked like shit at the moment. Patches of his face and his body are blackened from the flames, and now he turned to face Seian.
"To be honest, I don't know what happened..." Yuu admitted. "This is all new to me as well. I hadn't expected demons to be out in urban Japan, either! But something tells me that snake thing won't be the last we'll be encountering... I can defend myself, but you need to be very careful and find a safe place..." Yuu suddenly broke into a coughing fit and fell to his knees again. He coughed up a little bit of blood, but it wasn't very much, thankfully. "Ough."

"Are-?! No wait what am I saying of course you're not okay!" Seian was panicking slightly as he saw Yuu coughing up the blood. That... How had he even survived it? It seemed just as inexplicable as the rest of the nightmarish incident. The heat of those flames had been so intense that some of the brick and concrete in the area looked almost as if it had half-melted. Most people would have been ash after a direct collision with something that burned with so much of that fire... As it was he could see that Yuu's skin looked charred even after Hathor had healed him.
"I'm not leaving you behind, Yuu. While what you did with... Hathor, as that snake called her, didn't seem like something new to you at all, I won't press you. But you need to get to a hospital. Now.They might ask some uncomfortable questions that won't be easy to answer, but you need treatment. Either way, I won't be able to handle it if I encounter something like that again alone, and I don't think you're in much shape to do that defending either." He wasn't going to let up on this. He couldn't leave Yuu, or any of this behind.
"Now... Which way is it to one of those hospitals? ...Though, you don't want to walk too far like that. Just need to find someone who can take you..."

Yuu shook his head. "There's a hospital near Juntendo," Yuu coughed as he stood up. "That's the closest one I know of, it'll be about... thirty to forty minutes, most likely an hour, if we walk..." he said weakly. "But if we can find someone who can take us there, it'll be faster." he continued, his body trembling. He pointed straight ahead, bracing himself weakly. "There, we will go in that direction, if I remember correctly. Hopefully we'll run into some help..."
Yuu wasn't entirely clear on what just happened, and he felt like a truck just ran him over. The pain from both the flames and the impact was a bit much for Yuu to handle, and he could feel himself lapsing in and out of consciousness, occasionally stumbling forward as he tried to walk in the direction he said he was going to walk in. He beckoned for Seian to follow him as he did. "It kinda hurts, but I think... cough, I can manage... Anyway, the hospital is near where you're studying, so shouldn't you be familiar with it?"

An hour... There was no way they could walk all the way there. Yuu would never make it in this condition. They definitely needed to find someone to help... As Seian saw Yuu staggering, he realized that Yuu would need help even getting to where someone else could help.
"I probably should be familiar with it, but... I don't know, I haven't really settled in yet, and I'm still pretty rattled. Either way though... Please, let me help you. I'll give you just a little more support so you can walk, and all we need to do is get out into the open so someone can help..."
As the two of them walked, the rain seemed to keep getting more and more intense. If this kept up, it was going to be a flood soon... It seemed wrong for this time of year, from what Seian knew of the weather in the area. And it was cold... He wanted to stop and curl up into a ball to conserve warmth, but he knew that wasn't an option. Sadly, it also wasn't an option to stop the booming thunder that sounded like it was going to knock the city down.
He couldn't stop thinking of what they were going to say... How could they explain this away? Maybe... "Yuu, I think I know what we should do. I'll say that I didn't actually see what happened, and I found you, injured like this. And you can say you don't remember... Something that gives these kinds of injuries could probably be traumatic enough to cause some amnesia. I think... I might have stuff wrong though..." He shook his head, sighing.
It was now that he realized another option they had for getting help. "Yuu, do you have a phone we could use? If we call for emergency services, they could probably come get us... It might be best for you not to move in this condition."

Yuu kept coughing as the rain beat down on both him and Seian. "The rain is too hard, let's go find some shelter first, then you can use my phone and call for help." Yuu tried to shamble forward, but had difficulty moving properly, and coughed again, before shoving his handbag into Seian's arms. "Quickly... Find... Find my cellphone in there. Then call for help... Please... I feel tired and I can't keep my eyes open..." Yuu coughed some more, body shivering. The way in which he forced his bag onto Seian was way too forceful, it seemed like a desperate measure. In this condition, there was no way he would be able to keep himself conscious and get to the hospital in an hour! Yuu knew it and he could feel it. He could feel his insides still burning up a little from earlier, from the immense heat, and Yuu tried to calm himself, but he could not; the pain was too much. Yuu tried to use Tensaibou as a support mechanism, but all that happened was his arm began to tremble and his grip on Tensaibou sort of slipped, causing him to stumble. Yuu sighed and continued to shake. His knees gave way and he fell to his knees. "Ugh...!" He stood up again and tried to walk, but all that happened this time was this time he fell to the ground entirely, a spalshing sound could be heard as his body hit the ground under the rain.

Shelter... That thought had occurred to him. Maybe that would be best... Yet, Yuu seemed so unsteady. More and more, Seian worried about having him walk even that short distance. ...And of course, that worry intensified as Yuu shoved his handbag at Seian. He took it, and quickly sorted through it to find Yuu's cell phone. Or, not so quickly. He wasn't good at finding things in situations like this.
"Yuu!" Seian cried out as he saw his friend fall to the ground. ...He needed to get that phone and dial the number for emergency services quick. Ten more seconds of frantic searching, and finally he found it. Trembling from both cold and fear, he opened up the phone and readied himself to dial. ...But dial what? What was the number? ...WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER THE FUCKING NUMBER!
Seian was angry at himself. He was terrible with memorizing numbers in general, and he was new to the area... But this should have been simple! He had no idea how many times he'd been told during his Japanese classes and when preparing to come here, but he still hadn't gotten it fully memorized! And now... If Yuu didn't recover, it was his fault... All of this was his fault...
No, he needed to focus. There had to be a way. Even if he had to run and find someone to help. But... Wait, maybe not! Seian looked at the phone, trying to look for the contacts list... He stumbled through it, but he managed to find the number for what looked to be a relative of Yuu's. Kisaragi... He selected the name, and waited for the answer.
<
"Hello?"
"Kisaragi? This is Seian, the man who was meeting Yuu for lunch earlier today. He just collapsed."
"What?! What happened?"
"I didn't get to see it, but that doesn't matter. I actually forgot the number for emergency services, so I need you to call and tell them where to pick us up. I'm at...">
Seian gave the address, making sure that the woman had it down right. He hung up, and hoped for the best.
Now, with Yuu in this position... He couldn't leave him in the cold. It felt kind of awkward, but... He dragged Yuu to right by the wall, and wrapped his arms around him. Body heat was all he could give right now...
Eventually, the ambulance arrived and picked the two up. Seian rode to the hospital along with Yuu, and then was forced to wait when Yuu was taken to the emergency room.
"Please be okay..."

Yuu was taken to the emergency room where he was to be checked up on and observed if his condition was any good. The doctors and other staff present had surmised that Yuu suffered second-degree burns to various places and had minor internal bleeding, it appeared that there was a rupture in a non-vital part of Yuu's insides... Fortunately, Yuu appeared to be breathing apart from that and apparently showed no signs of instability in terms of his signs of life, because he seemed to be breathing normally under the oxygen mask that had been placed over his face. It was removed and the doctors set to work on treating Yuu. One of the doctors went out of the emergency room to see Seian, and Karen, Yuu's sister who had just arrived herself to see how Yuu was.
"Good afternoon," the doctor said. "We've been performing a checkup on the patient, and while he does seem to have a rupture in a non-vital and several patches of second-degree burns, he is stable and will be able to recover in due time. We ask that you are patient and make sure that he does not engage in any strenuous physical activities." he continued. He nodded his head solemnly and retreated to another part of the hospital.
Karen just looked incredulously forward and turned to face Seian. "Can you believe that?" she asked. "He's... stable? With those kinds of injuries? I know my little brother has done some pretty amazing things, but... Um... I'm really worried, I wonder if he's really okay..." Karen took a seat nearby and started to mope, with an incredibly worried look on her face.
Back inside the emergency room, the treatment was being done, and apparently some parts of Yuu's body needed operating on, so they shifted him to the operation room where they simply went to work on fixing up the ruptured part of his body, which fortunately seemed to go by pretty smoothly; it's certainly a relief that they were at a decent hospital, or else Yuu might have died... After the minor surgery, they began to clean up Yuu and work on the burns... Afterwards, one of the surgeons walked out of the door to see Seian and Karen. It had been two hours since Yuu was first admitted.
"Well, everything went by quite smoothly. Given a few days, Yuu will have recovered significantly and can be discharged by then," he said. "Please do not worry, we have things under control."

The time waiting for news seemed to stretch on and on. As always happened in times like this for him, worry, boredom, and guilt created a strange and bitter mix. He couldn't stand just sitting around with nothing to do while waiting to find out if Yuu was okay... And yet, he felt guilty not only for his part in the ordeal, but also for that boredom in itself. He didn't feel like he had a right to that, no matter how unbidden the emotion came. Especially since... If it weren't for him, Yuu would never have been there...
His heart leaped when he saw the doctor. "Is he okay...?" He immediately felt awkward for asking in English, but... It didn't matter, since the status report came anyway. It was a great relief to hear that Yuu wasn't in any danger. It was not any kind of relief to hear Karen's worries, as they bled over to him.
<I'm sure... Sure he'll be fine. This is a good hospital, and while they might accentuate the positive, they wouldn't lie to that degree.> He wasn't truly that confident, however. By all rights, the injuries should have been far, far more severe, and he had no doubt that Hathor was on some level the reason Yuu hadn't been instantly burnt to ash.
Shortly after he'd first arrived, Seian had been asked questions on what had happened. He had claimed not to have seen, and yet... Later he realized that he'd been burned as well. Bits of flame had scattered, and in his panic Seian had completely forgotten, and failed to notice until some time alter. The burns were small but severe, several scattered across his legs where the skin was charred and completely numb. The nerves had died from contact with those flames, even just small drifting bits of them. He would have to research possible complications later, and try to deal with them...
Finally, after two hours since first admission, the news came that Yuu would probably not be leaving for a few days. That was... Rather unfortunate. <I see...> He turned to Karen. <I'm sorry. This is my fault. If it weren't for me, Yuu would never have been there... >
Karen didn't respond.
Awkwardly, Seian went ahead and left, going home to rest after the events of this day. There was a lot to think about...
